I've ran into the same thing, running the latest beta. Also in Montreal, Canada, and never used windows live.

You are not crazy I've read your post here and #5066 I have run into the exact same absolutely stupendous problem. 2 days ago I got a pop-up from adium telling me my ICQ account is in use at another location then it went offline. Tried to re-connect but it no longer accepted my password. Ignored it ...
