Re: How to do [x], perhaps feature requests
Very interesting ideas. We'll probably try to implement #4 in the future. Vienna has its own plugin mechanism, which has some similarities with Safari. Not so sophisticated though. See http://www.vienna-rss.org/?page_id=120. I don't see how we could implement #1. Google Reader has the advantage of b...

Re: Unified layout
Yes, it would be nice… That's why I consider issue #77 https://github.com/ViennaRSS/vienna-rss/issues/77 a priority.rolandt wrote:I'd prefer to have every article marked read while scrolling thru the list in unified mode. Would be great to have an option allowing to choose that behavior

Re: Unified layout
I just happen to like defaults and the less keypresses the better (selecting menu options for this kind of things is really a horror). With the two other layouts (Report or Condensed), selecting a folder have never marked all its article as read (only a single one, and only if you have selected the...

Re: Unified layout
As I said elsewhere: Well I guess I will be stopping updating or change to another RSS reader because it is a contra-productive behavior. I would have appreciated to be warned in the note before installing. In other words: totally unacceptable behavior. Let people make the choice themselves what th...

Re: Another incoming user with a feature request...
We are currently getting a lot of requests, so the priority list largely depends on the number of people requesting something. I find your idea interesting, but I am not sure a lot of people will use it. A few other requests are higher on my personal priorities. An aside question : do you want the s...

It is a deliberate change in 3.0.

David, I think Tacitus is meaning "Refresh", not "Refresh all"… Titus : Did you notice the contextual menu in the folder list, which reproduce the "actions" drop down ? I also find the "skip" button (mark all read, then skip) a better solution than a "Mar...

Re: Moving to Vienna from Google Reader
I have Firefox set up as my default browser and, for me, clicking a link opens the tab in FF but focus remains in Vienna; FF does not switch to the foreground. Not sure how others feel (or if there's a way to change this) but I prefer this as I like to click several links in Vienna then Command-Tab...

A few versions were marked as running on Snow Leopard or better only, but currently, we try to maintain Leopard compatibility.Robby wrote:Older versions of Vienna don't work on your PPC Mac?
The new icons created problem in Beta 10 and 11, but Beta 9 is OK, so will Beta 12.

iCloud is not cross platform ; its datas aren't even sharable with apps developed by separate firms/people.David Munch wrote: How feasible would it be to use iCloud for this?
iCloud is good at securing datas (sandboxing), but is not designed for sharing them.

Re: Auto-refresh scrolls active window back to top
Yes, we had to revert some things, because there was a risk that users unintentionally mark new posts as read. This is harmless with Report and Condensed layouts, which are now able to correctly handle the notion of article currently being read, but Unified layout is not yet as sophisticated on thes...
