i can confirm that does work. friend of mine from aol says to just log in to aim.com should kickstart everything once you update your info.

confirm i'm getting the same issue in adium. tried the proxy tip, but it didn't work. tried ichat, no dice. able to log in to the AIM.com site. le sigh
