Re: Adium 1.3 bugs?

I agree, I really liked the hiding feature. I was using it a lot in 1.2.7, where it worked quite well. Unfortunately, I think tab-closing is one of those personal preference things where there are pretty good arguments to be made on both sides of the issue. I was reading the trac ticket about this e...

Re: Can I hide counts on collapsed groups? [1.3]

There is a "hidden preference" for hiding the contact counts on collapsed groups. The Adium Wiki has a page explaining all the hidden preferences . Not surprisingly, that page itself is a bit hidden. But I have excerpted the relevant section below. Hope this helps! To disable the online co...

Re: Adium 1.3 bugs?

To close an inactive tab without switching to it first, just hold down the command (apple) button while clicking. If you hold down the command button, the "X" will show up just like it used to. I believe the developers changed this because people complained that it was too easy to accident...

i have absolutely no idea about ports, but there is an option to use a port for an account. Preferences -> Accounts -> *Your Account* -> Options then change the port. I'm pretty sure that refers to the port on the server that you are supposed to connect to. Unfortunately, that does not control the ...

My two cents: Growl is very useful when you use it for multiple programs, like Mail and iTunes in addition to Adium.

Right. I was assuming it was impossible to do on a laptop whereas a desktop (PC in my experiences) can keep one logged in for days as my Windows using friends often are with always-on internet connections. They most likely don't let their computers go to sleep. In my experience, most Windows users ...

This thread may have already been resolved, but I just noticed that the poster mentioned he recently added a POP Gmail account. Incidentally, I just added a POP Gmail account and my Apple Mail has been freezing a lot with exactly the same circumstances. I never noticed this before adding Gmail. Coul...

Tick...I think you have misunderstood him. He's not talking about OTR encryption. GMAIL now keeps an optional log of all GTALK chats on your GMAIL account. However, GTALK now has a feature called "off the record" that simply keeps the chat from being logged. Neither person's GMAIL account ...
