That solved it. Discrete mode no longer kicks in. Thanks and if you could, point me to the change log, I'm curious what the issue was.

Still the sam with 2811. Did you add in any logging I could check to give you more info? Thanks for trying to work this one out.

1) Yes, "ViennaBeta" followed by it PID. Worth noting that when I run flash through safari I see a "WebPluginProcess" with a separate pid. I don't see this with Vienna. So probably not a plugin.
2) Nothing out of the ordinary.

No dice. Still switched to discrete mode. I wish I could tell you more about why but I can't figure out what is actually triggering it in the logs (and I have no idea how to set up OS debugging on a Mac). I have an app called gfxCardStatus that picks up these transitions. The dev there might be able...

I don't use growl and don't see any settings in vienna for it.

When I launch ViennaBeta (2810) on my MacBook Pro it kicks the graphics card into discrete mode instead of integrated mode. Flash has a tendency to do this. Is there any way to prevent this (without uninstalling flash). Thanks.
