Just FYI I am on a brand new 27" iMac with latest build of Lion.
3.1 GHz i5 w/ 8GB DDR3

No other application on this machine creates an issue of having to delete 3,000+ files from trash.

Is there any fix for this? Will anyone from Adium be looking into this? If not I'm going to have to install a different chat client unfortunately.

Interesting, Wixardry above says 'We rarely trash anything.'

If you've never seen an issue like this before then next time it happens I will take full documentation.

I am on Mac OS X 10.7.4. About once a week / couple times a month I will notice that my trash icon is full. I empty the trash and notice that it proceeds to delete thousands of files. This has happened atleast 20 times. Deleting thousands of files takes nearly 20 minutes out of my work day and slows...
