Next time this happens, go to activity monitor and see if GrowlHelperApp is running.

Find us a library that supports it and that would be a big help. Example of a library would be ffmpeg or libmatroska

We've got other stuff that has to be done, at some point we'll have a beta out. No need to bump a thread that says that there is a fix in it.
