Re: A way to close notifications without fading?
That quicktime update just plain sucks, it's been causing us problems on perian as well. The driver is the problem. File a ticket with apple at connect.apple.com about the laptop. I question even attempting to support your 300 mhz machine at times for Growl (and did for adium) so I wouldn't mention ...

We're not doing anything like that. That's basically ignoring everything I just said in my above post, which really doesn't help anything to get resolved long term.

Did you install GrowlMail and then start Growl? If so, try restarting Mail.

Re: accessing the growl notification window
Adding multiple urls tended to look ugly when we saw some mockups. The problem is that it's such a small area to click into as it is that when you add multiple things to click, it means the user has to pay a whole lot of attention to what they are doing, which could lead to an annoyance. I wouldn't ...

I would verify if 1.1 had this issue first, and then go from there.

Then ya, not perian, so long as you quit the applications prior to removing Perian.

You're describing a feature of Growl that GrowlTunes takes advantage of, called Coalescing.
We have no eta on a release of Growl 1.2 or GTP.

If someone wants to get paid for their work, I think 15.99 is a fair price for what that app does.durgle wrote:you know what sucks about the iphone?
the only functional IM app is $15.99... c'mon team adium!
You're welcome to start work on the adium iphone client though.

To prove it is not perian 1.1.1, try installing 1.1 or just removing perian. That'll tell us easily if it's 1.1.1 or not.

nice to know things are so active in this forum :( Well, the problem you bring up here has been brought up a lot before. Also, if you notice, other threads are getting activity, so I think people just missed this one. Adium for instance has documentation on their website for how to get Growl workin...

Re: A version of Perian for the iPhone?
Who's care about Apple LGPL?! Apple doesn't make the LGPL. It's a license, and Perian is licensed under the LGPL. Which is why we care about that. Currently i'm looking - how to register custom codec for iPhone to MusicPlayer. There is a interfaces in API, but no any words - how to register it. Wel...

Re: Support for more codecs?
Does ffmpeg support those? If not, can you find a library that has a license compatible with the LGPL license to cover them? These are the easy ways to get support for codecs. The general idea for Perian is that we're looking at implementing reading of movie files from existing libraries that other ...

What gave you the impression that Perian could open a shockwave file if you could rename the file?
