MSN messenger is closed source so implementing this feature would be quite difficult. I'm not a programmer myself though so I'm not certain.

Do you mean when you open a conversation?
the appropriate option are in the Advanced tab of the preferences. Then go to message history.

The braille looks pretty cool. Maybe put adiumy next to the dots, flying away, making it look like the dots are the dust left behind (showing that it is fast). IIRC adium beta, uses libgaim beta. Also Adium no longer uses libgaim for Jabber accounts so i guess it's all moot where Jabber/libgaim is concerned

Priority in what sense? If you mean which account to send out from by default, Adium will default to the last account used to message that contact.

The option you are after is in the View menu. Specifically "Show online count" and "Show total count".

Also, my Adium client has become increasingly unstable since I updated OSX to the latest version - is there an ETA for the next update? The developers deliberately don't give an ETA. But the next version (1.0) is in the beta stage at the moment. This is the way it works for AIM and Yahoo, at least....

This might be because the sound set itself hasn't defined which sound should go for what event. Have you tried another soundset?

If you activate the growl menu icon, you can turn off growl from the menubar. It's not perfect but it's a good start.

There was a topic about this recently, but i couldn't find it sorry (and i don't think anything came from it). I agree it would be useful, though.

I think he means display names, which do show the old version when they go offline, as does the official mac client.
