I've seen instances where I had a large number of email alerts come in, and they ran off the screen. Perhaps Growl should respect the screen size and keep the alerts on screen. Maybe it's an issue with the style? I use Bezel for alerts for Skype, iChat, and Adium and these come in succession. The Cr...

I've tried it with both no check, and minus sign. Actually, it seems more stable once I switched the growlmail display to Plain from Bubbles. Time will tell.
What's the difference between no check and the minus sign?
Edit: No sooner did I post that, then I got an email and no growl notification. :-(

GrowlMail stops working
OS 10.4.1. Growl 0.7 I am having trouble with GrowlMail working for awhile, then suddenly I notice I am no longer getting the alerts. I start and stop mail, get the "re-registered" notice, and it will work for awhile again. In Mail prefs, all accounts are checked. I've tried both "Aut...

I guess that's the problem here, my dock does generally go all they way across the bottom of the screen. Seems if the list stopped at the dock, no matter where it was that would work inall cases. If the dock didn't go to the edge, the list could go all the way down. If it runs into the dock, it stops.

size to fit vertically limit
When I have the size to fit vertically option checked, the contact list will grow to fill the screen top to bottom. This is fine until is goes behind the dock. Then that portion of the list is not accessible. The size to fit vertically growth should stop when it hits the dock.

menu duck cool thing
I really like the status availability from the menu bar. It took extra trackpad usage to get over to the proper status when I signed on or signed off. Quite by accident I just discoverd that simply highlighting an account, without sliding over to the status submenu, will toggle that account between ...

Psi isn't going to help with ICQ. Psi is a Jabbber client. I much prefer Adium. Psi was developed specifically for Jabber, but is not a native Mac application.

Are these Jabber accounts? If som it sounds like the authorization didn't happen correctly. Both Proteus and Adium suffer from this. (The next version of Adium is reported to have improved authorization tools.) What I do is launch Psi and resend the authorization requests. You could try having your ...

hmm, that usually unauthorizes Jabber contacts, and deletes them for me. Try updating to the beta http://www.adiumx.com/beta.html It has an updated version of libgaim that might help Thanks, I'll use Psi to delete him next time he returns. I use Adium for work contacts; it's too much to risk on a b...

non-deletable contact
I've deleted the same contact (Jabber) four times so far today. When I first deleted the contact he simply moved from the group he was in to a "Buddies" group. I've deleted him from that group three times so far today. Goes away for awhile, but before long I see him listed once again. How ...

Adium will no longer connect to any accounts
This morning Adium will no longer connect to any accounts. I can use iChat to connect to AOL and Psi to connect to jabber, but Adium just flashes the dock icon. I've seen this intermittantly in the past; usually stopping and relaunching Adium cures it. Not today; Adium will not connect. Any ideas on...

That's no good. On the plus side at least you can re-request authorization in .8. This is a very good thing. :-) I look forward to seeing that. Will be be able to resend and remove authorization in addition to rerequesting authorization? I've missed authorization management since I stopped using Psi.
