Re: Move articles to Trash:

It works fine here. I have that pref set to “After a week”. Articles are then moved to the trash automatically unless they are either ‘unread’ or ‘flagged’.

Re: 3.1.5 release candidate

Cool. This fixes the two issues that were pestering me: marking a bunch of articles as read when a folder is selected, and the scroll position when switching to another (smart) folder.
Thanks!

Re: 3.1.4: Article list position when switching feeds

Indeed, I was about to report the same issue. I think this changed between 3.1.4rc2 and 3.1.4 final. Not 100% sure though. Vertical layout on my side.

In addition to folders, this also appears to affect smart folders (my 'all unread' one seems to scroll to the end always.)

Re: "Send Link" behavior is annoying

On a related note – and perhaps it is just me… – but is the 'Share' menu item in a context menu non-functional in Vienna? OS X 10.11.4. e.g. right-click on a link, the context menu offers the 'Share' item to mail, messages, notes, etc. But nothing happens on my side. (I’ve never used in Vienna, to b...

This sounds ver similar to the issue I filed a couple of hours ago: https://github.com/ViennaRSS/vienna-rss/issues/596.

I’ve no idea how to “fix” your tabs issue though.

Re: lefigaro.fr pages not displayed

Do you have Javascript disabled in the Vienna Preferences > Advanced?

When I have it enabled, the site displays correctly. There is a script that makes the whole page visible once it has loaded, or something like that. Without scripting the whole thing is basically invisible.

Re: Best Vienna icon

Nice artwork; unfortunately it only works well at large sizes (say, 256 x 256px and up). At small sizes (dock, finder, menus, notification centre banner) it becomes quite a bit overloaded and very unclear: to many distinct elements in the small size. I prefer the current icon.

Odd font behaviour in sidebar / article list

Vienna - 10.10 Yosemite Playing with font settings in the Preferences (‘aspect’ - second tab); this does weird things. For ‘articles’, select ‘Helvetica Neue’; the Normal, regular weight should be selected by default in the Fonts panel. Now choose the Helvetica Neue Light. Watch how Vienna uses the ...

Re: Deadlock on Yosemite (Vienna 3.0.0 RC 9 :48569cc:)

In the week that I’ve used Yosemite, I haven’t seen any crashes as noted by the OP. Vienna sometimes tends to hang briefly when arrowing down/up between articles (I mostly use smart lists) though — It is not really a hang I think, but Vienna briefly lags between key input and response. Might be rela...

Re: six colours feed display issue in vertical layout

Thanks for confirming and filing this !

As I noted on github: worth mentioning that Lucida Grande doesn't have a glyph for that character (at least on 10.9) - according to UnicodeChecker.app.

six colours feed display issue in vertical layout

The latest most fashionable mac blog: ‘six colors’ (sixcolors.com) causes a display issue in the article list view: for some articles title, date, author are all part of the same cell. This happens specifically for ‘external link’ articles; the title for those article contains: ‘↦’ ( aka RIGHTWARDS ...

Re: subscription requires user name and password

This is like a ghost in my system. Is there any way I can get to the Apple keychain files to delete it? Sure. Open Keychain Access app (you'll find it in the Utilities folder) and look for the offending entry. But I’m puzzled as to why Vienna would keep asking for that password if you are no longer...

Re: Release candidate 2 is out

@sandstrom : yes, rc2 uses memory differently from rc1. In particular, it will copy some pieces of data instead of simply referencing to them. But my tests show that it releases memory much more easily than RC1 ; used on a very long period, it will not increase memory usage, while RC1 does. I’m not...

No.

No (should have mentioned it) - If I’m not wrong, over the past few days, the timestamp matches the first refresh after startup

Vienna 3 rc 2 console logging

With RC 2 I noticed the following entries in the Console – not clear what it means, and it might not be important at all: 29/07/2014 16:56:16,649 Vienna[407]: The FMDatabase <FMDatabase: 0x60000009ae00> is currently in use. 29/07/2014 16:56:16,844 Vienna[407]: Error calling sqlite3_step (1: cannot c...

Re: Release candidate 2 is out

One thing I’ve noticed with this release is increased memory usage - doubling - compared to rc 1 and older: E.g, if Vienna 3rc1 was using 125~130Mb of memory, under the same circumstances, rc2 uses 200~240Mb. Don’t look at the absolute values here, but at the relative one: doubling. System load is t...
