No this is not normal, it's actually a bug in Ribbit. I'm working on a fix at the moment, kind of hard to test though, have yet to find a small torrent which others download a lot so I can test my share ratio

I experienced the same problem over here. I've just uploaded a new version (0.2.2) which solves this. Azureus will quit now if you want it to do so
