starting using shiira as my default browser and it made me love unified...didn't think it would happen but i've switched back to the normal unified adium for now... There's probably a way, but I don't know of it. I was simply suggesting a workaround until someone is able to tell you how to fix your problem.

Well I know this isn't what you're looking for, but a workaround in the meantime is to manually setup what Adium does when you choose "send later", which is create a one-time event for that contact to send a message the next time they're seen. Select buddy > Contact > Get Info > Events > C...

Hmm. Can Growl be invoked with an AppleScript? If so, you could have Adium run a script instead of send a Growl notification, and have the script send a Growl note for all except the people who have connection problems.

Yahoo is the only service through which I ever receive spam IMs. Yahoo's messenger is enabling them to do so. Also, something else to keep in mind is rate limits. I'm not sure exactly how AIM and others handle it, but sending the same message to a bunch of other people may very well run into a rate ...

If you're worried about someone stealing your information, I think you'll find much better success by password-locking your computer when you're not at it, and possibly even using filevault if you have the space.
