IIRC this problem is not with Adium. I believe the new buddy icons are only sent to you by whatever protocol you're using when you initiate a chat with that person.

GrowlMail 0.6

After installing Growl 0.6, I reinstalled GrowlMail because I didn't know if it changed for the new release or not. Now, on my list of applications for Growl, I see both "GrowlMail" and "Mail" with the same action listed in the notification area. Is this intentional?

Is this included in the current Adium SVN, just like the beta was?

Oops, I actually meant the limit as x approaches infinity...hehe so I guess that's another one, eh? It was my mistake too - it is indeed the limit as x approaches infinity. I didn't check it the first time; I was just like "yeah, that sounds right". I actually checked it this time, though...

That is correct. There are many other definitions of e, such as the exponential whose derivative is itself.

Son of a Preacher Man wrote:WHY?!
Because imaginaries are just an orthogonal extension of real numbers. You can have even more dimensions of "imaginary" numbers as well, such as j and k.

Trashing it sure did a good job of solving my wonky message view problem after running a broken revision of .8 svn.

It does indeed make sense. If you square both sides, you get i. sqrt(i)^2 = i (i+1)^2/sqrt(2)^2 = (i^2 + 2i + 1)/2 = (-1 +2i +1)/2 = 2i/2 = i Also, if memory serves me right, imaginaries usually aren't taught until algebra II, which didn't come until after geometry in my school. Also, you're not *re...

That comes from the G5 System Icons, I believe. I got those from iconfactory.

No kidding, I'm terrible at arithmetic and algebra. Just the other day, I made the assumption that 1/a + 1/b = 1/(a+b) on my physics homework. Last semester, one of my math tests didn't have a single number on it, except for the problem numbers.

I took Calc I and II in high school, and Calc II had 2 full classes. My school was known for overachieving in the core subjects, and doing next to nothing in everything else such as music and art.

Also, you could try trashing com.adiumX.adiumX.plist located in ~/Library/Preferences, and see if that helps. It has fixed a few weird bugs for me in the past.

It's actually more like a sine graph.

y = sin(x) + 1

y(.644) = 1.6
y(?/2) = 2.0
y(1.047) = 0.5
y(?) = 1.0

Those question marks are supposed to be pi. Also, these are in radians, of course.

Considering what's being added to 0.8, and there are two more major releases after that until you have to worry about this, I think you'll be ready to call it 1.0.

That reminds me: is the major release that comes after 0.9 going to be 1.0?
