Typing notification works fine over Jabber, so it must be something with their server. Do Jabber typing notifications work for you? Talk buddy icons work within iChat, not within Adium. This is on r15894.

Personally I'd like to know why this is such a concern. You (as a user) aren't meant to see or interact with this folder, it's managed by Adium so for all intents and purposes it could be called FooBarLou and not make a difference. I wasn't overly concerned, but I saw the post and I know I wondered...

I don't think a status message when a screenname goes to/from mobile while you've been chatting would be unreasonable. Someone should file a Trac ticket with the request.
