You can turn off the display of tooltips when Adium is in the background in 0.8 preferences.

1. View menu, bottom item. Change it to whatever suits you.

2. Add a status in the Status pref pane (+ button). Choose Invisible as the State in the sheet which appears.

Blocking works fine in MSN for me, and recent releases have solved my unblocking issues.

Why do people have this strange idea that MSN blocking is not implemented? It works fine, has worked since the first beta. Also my unblocking problems appear to have gone with the latest releases, so hopefully we can lay both these to rest.

Two things Cheesechick, first, the keys - Offline, Idle etc - need capital letters. Also, as I quote here, the keys for Away and Available should actually be "Generic Away" and "Generic Available" these days.

Yes. Virtually all current applications will be compatible with Tiger. Those which aren't are usually ones which delve deeper into the system to do whatever they do - antivirus programs, for instance (useless junk that they are). Adium's quite well-behaved.

I heard on the grapevine that it's going to undergo a change of ownership. I have no idea if/when the new sections will appear, I would imagine they will follow 0.8 fairly closely though

It is implemented, but not in a configurable way. Packs which explicitly state which service they are for in their .plist will be preferred for that service; I believe also that non-service-specific packs will have priority over a pack that identifies itself as being for a different service entirely...

No, they don't work. I mentioned it a while ago, but the X(tras) site is in a bit of a limbo at the moment, so unfortunately it's not likely to get changed for a while yet.

Spotlight throws up matches in my Adium logs quite happily.
