Hasn't it always been a feature?

It certainly will be in the new version, in the Accounts prefs.

Behaviour has been reversed, it just drags normally now (kinda surprised you hadn't noticed ;) )

Yeah, like I said earlier it's no longer in the .8 bundle. If things stay that way - I have no reason to believe they won't - I might post Simplicity on the Xtras site. Tbh, though, I think it's showing its age a little :D

sort of worked on msn, but people told me as of .77 that the actual link text sent, not the custom text.

How about if Adium threw up " Andy hits Sam over the head with an inflatable penguin", say, as a 'status message' on-screen? Then gave the choice in the prefs as to whether to send it as /me or **. For extra awesomeness it could treat either /me or ** on incoming messages in the same way :)

Graphic Converter's ok, its .gif support is rather suspicious though.

Photoshop often blurs things when shrinking, in my experience.

Preview can be surprisingly good though.

Actually, I'd find that pant-wettingly funny and use it regularly... Am I strange?

Some programs appear to be better at scaling things down than others, so perhaps try a few different ones. You'll probably need to touch a lot of them up, though :(

I'm intrigued that you find Windows "less professional" - I suppose I'd agree to some extent. Would you say it's more approachable? Because personally I find it far more difficult to use.

Yeah. Oops.

I've renamed it Simplicity, so it doesn't clash. Btw, in .8 this style won't be bundled!

I'm not keen on linux, myself. I don't like the idea of being confronted with the underbelly of the operating system on a daily basis. :)

In the interests of consistency, perhaps Adium could reformat incoming text in this way too? Or would that be difficult? :)

You're pretty handy at the old graphic arts thing. Emoticon packs are dead simple to make, really. I assume you've opened one up and had a peek inside? There's no reason my opinions are any more valid than someone else's, but I'm going to give them to you anyway because I'm that kind of person!: • I...

I pretty much agree with Fred, I've always felt the same way about Windows. Plus, it resembles the old Classic OS in that for everything you want to do, you have to change settings in three different places to do it. OS feels a lot more logical in many things, probably because it was designed from s...

See the beta thread for some info on this - towards the end. It depends on people being bothered enough to make them :D Personally, seeing the exact status in textual form is plenty for me, I don't really care what kind of Away someone is!

b3, autoconnect.

If it isn't expected behaviour, it's always possible it's just fluke - I'm on an Airport network after all so it could just be flaky.

Speaking of which, has there been a deliberate change in behaviour of the connection status memory? Err... best explained by an example. I regularly start Adium with the shift key down, to test message styles without peeving people with constant disconnects/reconnects. Now, when I launch Adium after...

Re: Adium For Windows

I think it would be really cool if you could make a version for windows. I was looking at it on my friends Mac and it looked pretty sick. If you could make one that would be awsome, but if it requires too much re-programing its alrite. Thanks, Peter Miller If you want something close to ADium for w...
