Doesn't changing the settings in Preferences → Advanced → Address Book work for you?

This a known bug filed in #10067. If you could provide the Console logging evands asked for that would be very helpful.

I'm sorry you had no success in finding the ticket. I think #10786 pretty much covers the problem you had.

this happens to be a known bug which has been fixed in the meantime. You can try 1.3.1b1 (from http://beta.adiumx.com) which includes the fix.

Hey zaber, as you can see in the ticket, the issue has not yet been resolved (at least not for everyone).

You can still comment and it might be reopened.

Actually, this a known issue. For some, it still seems to not work, so I had to reopen #10411.

Why not add a comment saying it's not fixed?

That bug will be fixed for 1.3.1.

1.3.1 is reserved for regressions but if were lucky, we might see MSNp15 in another 1.3.x release.

There have several reports of this still not working so I have re-opened #10411.

No work is being done on that ticket. There's no German developer in the team, yet, and therefore nobody who is interested in adding studiVZ.
However, a plugin would be welcome!

Yeah, changing to a password shorter than eight characters should fix the problem.
