Adium cannot export contacts. It just updates changes made to the server and retrieves the contact list from the server upon connecting.

Adium shouldn't delete contacts on its own.

Authorisation requests you haven't dealt with yet will be in the "Authorisation Requests" window.

You should be able to delete groups in Adium.

Hi, I can't blame you for asking. This column didn't make sense to me for a good while. As far as I know it refers to whether your (possible) current chat with the contact is encrypted. You might be seeing this known issue: https://trac.adium.im/ticket/16552. If so, try manually resizing your user icon to 64x64 pixels or smaller.

Recent icons set via the icon picker (both for contacts and for yourself) are cached at ~/Library/Images/iChat Recent Pictures, and such recent icons are shared with iChat.

Jabbim.com is an XMPP ("Jabber") server and you're able to connect fine to an account you registered there?

Um, I'm not sure I understand. Are you trying to set up ICQ or IRC in Adium? What's "ICQ Web"?
