Please answer these questions to help me help you:
- do any errors show?
- are you using Adium on a Mac with a Retina Display?
- do you have a user icon set which is bundled with OS X?

The only problems I'm having with Adium in Mavericks are that when I open Adium, I have it set to reopen tabs from last time on startup, and (most of the time) it puts me back in my usual chat, and that screenname immediately leaves the room again, but I'm still able to speak and be seen in it. First of all, please update to the latest version of Adium.

Are you using the Skype plugin in Adium?

The XMPP server you are connecting to, which server software (Openfire, ejabberd, Prosody etc.?) does it use?

Thanks for the report! It would have been bad if we'd released 1.5.9 with this regression. Good thing you mentioned 10.6 too, this issue is related to it and was fixed earlier today, so b3 or whatever comes next will include the fix.

That crash seems related to the Skype plugin (see line 5). Please see if there is an update for it and if there isn't, please remove the plugin.
