"Recent Buddies" is an extremely annoying feature that the AIM folks added a few months ago. Basically, the AIM servers (NOT Adium) keep track of who you've talked to recently and add them to a special "Recent Buddies" list. We have NOTHING to do with it. So if you don't want it,...

It actually is created automatically by the OS, to store window positions that we want to be saved for us. It can be corrupt, but it's unlikely to solve too much.

SVN is meant to be broken... it's a playground for new features and trying different ideas.

It'll be fixed sometime.

Have you tried removing the %_script bits?

I do think this is fixed in SVN... or will be whenever the bits that handle AppleScript interface get a much-awaited update.

This isn't possible in Adium, but it could be added by, say, a plugin. Someone else could write it... but, we won't be adding it ourselves. It's far too intrusive in general.

However, it is also true that many serivces don't support many fancy text features.

I believe we changed how deleting works in SVN, recently, if anyone's using that. It's just delete now, no modifiers required.

Adium makes some metacontacts automatically for you, behind the scenes. For example, anyone who is on more than one of your accounts with the same name is automatically a metacontact with only one entry -- it just helps the bookkeeping. That may be what you're seeing. But, as Evan said, all is well ...

I think he did mean something in the Info window -- the spinning lines that show up on startup and shutdown, for example. Not the spinning beachball of doom that takes over your cursor. We will support "Out to Lunch" and whatnot for MSN in .80. You will be able to see your MSN status (etc....
