how can i change my ICQ nickname??? everybody keeps seeing a nickname i used years ago when i still used ICQ instead of adium. I don't believe that we support this... someone correct me if I'm wrong. and how do i chat with more people in the same chat? there's always somebody else with msn that has...

We used to get all kinds of people asking about this because they didn't understand that AIM and .Mac are really the same thing for IM accounts... so we split off the .Mac account, and you can use whatever you want.

One thing that fixed this, once: check in the System Prefs -> Universal Access, and see if "Enable Access for Assistive Devices" is checked. If it is (and if you don't use any), uncheck it and see if that helps.

Hello! There was an MSN service outage earlier today, and ALL MSN users were offline. Can you connect now? (It's been fixed).

Not sure how to do this, but incidentally there will be a toolbar item in the next major release that lets you see an icon at full size. You can also mouse over anyone in the contact list and see it at full size.

One worry about that -- what if you send a REALLY long message, and then get rate-limited because the broken-up messages send too fast? We have no way of knowing your rate limit, so that could cause some trouble...

There IS (in source, I forget if it made it into .7x) a toolbar item for the message window that, when clicked, shows your contact's icon at full size.

I'm pretty sure that we don't yet support all the AppleEvents that we would need to to make this possible. You could always use UI Scripting though...*shudder*

Message styles can choose to ignore formatting (so that the authors can be sure that you see things as they intended). However, there should be a number of included styles that DO show your contacts' fonts -- have you tried them all? (I'm especially thinking of Simple)

I REALLY don't like that interface. Everything is unnecessarily large (the metal window, the send button, the drawer...). We're really going for a streamlined interface in Adium, and this isn't it.
