Can anyone from Perian Support etc please weigh in on this? I really need to know that one or more components of Perian are not installed anywhere on my computer after doing these two steps. Dropbox is perfectly fine. I'm getting a different result here. In scrubbing, I didn't find any audio gaps. I did notice that the video is 10:20 and the audio is 9:53. If I recompose the tracks so they length is the same, the audio sync is never lost. I'm running Perian for SVN, so some of the issue...

The closest to the source is typically better, but in this case I think we only care about the raw bitstream since we ignore what MKV tells us and look at the bitstream to figure out the channel parameters (I think). Try the mov first, and if we still need the mkv, we will say so.

We tend to recommend MediaFire, but any place is fine with us as long as we can download it (even dropbox sharing). Since it is an MKV, we only need a small portion of the file. A few MB should be enough.

The Dolby Pro Logic (1 and 2)/Stereo/Multi-Channel selection has no effect on passthrough.
