Yep, same for me. I can now connect, where previously it crashed on connect.

Just to add my two cents, I get the exact same crash, but only when I am trying to connect with "use the HTTP connection method" checked in the Preferences. I need to use this connection method, however, because I am behind a nasty firewall at work. It also says the same thing in my crash ...
