i have noticed that sometimes the italics option under format is unavailable, and seemingly at random. even in the same version, i've had this problem off and on. can anyone shed any light on the matter?

ah, okay. i don't have the beta, so that clears things up. too bad, it's a sweet feature

how can the opacity of the message window be managed? i have seen reference to it in other users settings/screens, but can't figure out how to change it.
