can't we have an option in preferences, that allows Adium to ignore Spaces and stay on the desktop? I understand you're saying that most people like using Spaces for Adium, but from the sound of it, there are quite a few people who don't use Spaces, but really like this functionality. actually the hack works fine.. it just doesnt work with spaces (which i don't use).
As such... i'm staying with 1.0.4... it's too great a feature for me to lose

to sort of move this topic back to the intial complaint I had. Leopard expose and Adium....
In Adium, I had set it to be on the background, and if I used expose to view my desktop, I could see adium part of the desktop, and click on contacts. This was awesome.
But in Leopard, if I still have it set as on Desktop, and do the same thing on Expose, Adium moves offscreen as well!!
