I guess I could downgrade further and try 2.55 since you said it solved your problem.

I should also say that my post may not be that helpful. It could be a local problem I am having with the router here, I need to check some more. Actually I first started out with 2.6 and everything worked fine for a few weeks. No I updated to 2.6.1 and get constant I/O errors and timeout errors so that the application is impossible to use. I will try downgrading now to see if that solves it.
