I'm using Mac OS 10.5.1 and Adium 1.2.1. It only happens when there are contacts with long enough names in the list. This always happens to me the first time I open the status menu after opening the contact list menu with an alt-click.

You can easily disable the audio and video actions in QS Preferences -> Actions -> IM Accounts, just uncheck the boxes next to them.
