Well, I managed to solve my problems by upgrading to the beta version of adium.
Strange, but it worked

I have major problems with aduim since updating to 10.4.8 as well :sad: My contact list does not update, my buddies do not see if i am online or on a very irregular basis. Everything worked flawlessly before this update. Don't know what the problem is, I repaired autorisations, didn't change anythin...
