Yep, I'm having the same problem...had someone typing a whole conversation to me before realizing I wasn't around.

I'm using iChat today and everything is totally stable but Adium (0.86) is giving me a lot of AIM grief.

Heh...didn't see the "lunch" pref but did see the "launch" one...still won't do it. I did have MSN unchecked in previous versions because I was having problems with it but those prefs are long trashed and it should be following current instructions...right?

Perhaps I'm missing a pref, although I've been through them (and this forum) pretty thoroughly, but for some reason when Adium starts up it will not connect to MSN. If I go in and manually check the box for it, it connects fine, so there are no connection issues. Just not sure why it only connects A...

I am also getting a Gaim error with Yahoo! today. I have never gotten one in any other version before. I was using .80 but after updating to .81 I am still having the problem. The message that comes up is

username (Yahoo!): Gaim error
Unable to read

Any fixes?

No...I like Plastic too, but as I said the BACKGROUND is what is colored. There is no colored heading, but the background of each message is lightly colored...I think it was blue for me and green for my correspondent, but I may have customized that.

Still loving the new Adium, except for one persistent bug. But there was a message style I had that I liked a lot. It's kind of similar to plastic, except that instead of the message headers being green and blue, the messages themselves had backgrounds of green and blue. Anyone know what I'm talking...

So far, I love it I love it I love it...well worth waiting (and putting up with some stuff) for. Everything I've seen so far has been an improvement, just need to tweak my message styles a bit and it will be perfect.

Arenzara, thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately it didn't fix my MSN connection problems. Still have no problem connecting with AIM and Yahoo.

I don't have a problem with smarterchild but it does use a different font. It comes up Courier for me so maybe there is a font conflict?

Well, for the record I am using version 0.76.

Until the next time this happens, then I'm going back to Proteus. Which I REALLY don't want to do as I much prefer Adium, but I'd rather have spotty service than IM sex spam.
