As of tonight, I'm running Adium 1.5b2r4274 with OS X 10.6.8 and facebook refuses to login... in Prefs > Accounts - the entry for Facbook keeps flashing "Connecting" Then "Offline" - over and over.

Any ideas?

Fair enough. Since this is a problem with Yahoo, wouldn't it make sense that Adoim actually block a persons ability to send files or pop up a "File Sharing does not work..." dialog instead of letting the user assume that things work?

I searched the message board to find out why Yahoo File transfers are (still) not working and the last thing I saw was over a year ago. I don't remember it every working. That only works if you have a username on Facebook. Not everyone chose to have a username. Guess we'll have to wait for https in adium.

it seems that you need to use your login name and password - not your screenname and password for this to work...

i have created a username and password for the new myspaceIM account, but it fails to login, stating

Protocol error, code 260: The password provided is incorrect.

Any ideas on this?

It seems that Plastik was written using the newest Beta hence y i couldn't use them in the current publiuc build. Problem solved.

There was no link to install on Plastik. just download. The other stuff I have downloaded worked when i used Install just fine.
