I am having the same issue, and think I can shed some light on the issue. The directory I am trying to list is hosted on a windows NT . However the FTP directory is HUGE (both deep AND wide). Using BBEdit as the default editor will always open a new blank document called "untitled text". This is not a critical bug, but highly annoying.
