Features like this are often possible, they just aren't focused on or implemented because of the possible negative consequences. For example, this IM broadcasting feature could be used for spam or questionable "mass IM" messages.

I just searched (definitely by content) for 'e' and got 580 out of over 5,000 logs. That's weird; I know that more than a tenth of my logs have the letter 'e' in them, if for no other reason than all my screen names have 'e' in them (FredHope, etc.) and the screen name is printed in the log file.

You can always delete ~/Library/Caches/Adium and then reopen Adium and the Log Viewer; it will reindex every log file if you do that.

I'm pretty sure it's officially pronounced like stadium without the 's'. I can't find the Trac page for it; maybe it's gone. It definitely is pronounced in a variety of ways, though.

I was wondering about that, 'cause someone said it was "fixed" for .90 and I figured it couldn't be that hard to merge it to the .8x branch, since everyone seems to hate it...but if they haven't fixed it at all yet then that makes more sense.
