Message views, incoming & outgoing colors

Ok so i was looking at http://forums.cocoaforge.com/viewtopic.php?t=953 and i saw the pic of the message view which i really liked except i thought the choice of colors was kinda ugly, anyways (i think this may have been talked about a bit before but i couldn't really find a post to piggyback off of) i was wondering if it would be possible to consider something like this:



where from adium, the css message view file could be edited, (or a new variant file could be create) and a color of the user's choice can be used.

now i do imagine that this wont work with every message view, but for some it certainly would, like the one above, and the iChat Clone view, etc etc. In my head this would be a useful thing and seemingly straightforward to implement, although i am certain that i could be very wrong, seeing that i know very little about coding and development.
