Contact Lists plugins showing up as folders

I tried downloading the Contact llist theme "Plastik" yesterday, and when I unzipped the file, the contents of the folder showed, among other things, Plastik.ListLayout and Plastik.ListTheme. Trouble is, these were folders not icons. And when i manually added them to the ~/Library/Application Support/Adium 2.0/Contact List/ folder - Adium didn't see them.

This also happened with a couple other downloads i made as well.

I contacted the author and he didn't know what was going on... he thought it might be unzipping unproperly... I tried four diff programs to unzip them and 2 diff browsers to download it. Still the same results.

He thought it might be that he was using a beta and told me to get the beta - but there is no link for a "beta"


Any ideas what is going on?

The beta is normally available at beta.adiumx.com, but it's down right now.

Have any worked (when you click install)?

There was no link to install on Plastik. just download. The other stuff I have downloaded worked when i used Install just fine.

It seems that Plastik was written using the newest Beta hence y i couldn't use them in the current publiuc build. Problem solved.
