Invisible Login

Consider this Adium for Dummies, please.

I downloaded Adium to be able to login invisibly--would like to jump on, see who's around, and jump off without getting entrapped in conversation.

But I just do not know how to GET invisible. I'm on a PowerbookG4, OSX, verrsiion 10.4.8. I've downloaded Adium X 0.89.1

Don't worry - it's not particularly simple!

You need to make a custom status, in this case an 'invisible' or 'appear offline' status.

- Go into preferences (Adium > Preferences)
- Choose Status
- Click the + icon at the bottom of the list
- Under state choose invisible.
- Click OK
- Now you have an invisible state to choose!
