I have been using Adium for a while, it is a very nice application, this is the first time that anything has happened that is really bad.
Less than 3 minuites ago a window in Adium came up and asked for my MSN password for my MSN account, trusting Adium and not thinking fast enough I instinctively typed in my MSN password, despite the fact that I was using MSN (adium) at the same time.
1) Why did it do this?
2) The textbox was plain text, not *'s
Thanks, Teifion

Re: Adium asking for my MSN password
Don't worry, you didn't send your MSN password anywhere.Teifion wrote:I have been using Adium for a while, it is a very nice application, this is the first time that anything has happened that is really bad.

In a certain rare situation, when you get unexpectedly disconnected from MSN, libgaim will try to retrieve the password before informing Adium that it needs one... and then the default libgaim window pops up, which doesn't support the *'s for the password field, instead of Adium's own. I haven't been able to reproduce it to fix it, but I have seen it happen once myself.
