A Question about Ticket #1392

Post by stevekelley »

Hello together,

I'm a little bit confused. I try to get rid of this "Send Later" dialogue box i see when i want to sent a message to one of my friends. After some searching i have seen Ticket #1392 which is adressing this "annoying" behaviour.
Great, i thougt. Now I just have to find how to use this -supportsOfflineMessaging method.. But sorry I can't find a way to disable this behaviour.

Can someone tell me a way to activate this method/feature for my icq and jabber accounts?

Best greetings,
Chris

BTW: Sorry for using this "Bugmenot-Account". The user registration was down .

that ticket has nothing to do with you, it was a piece of code that was added by one of the developers, and was closed (meaning completed) at that. What version of adium are you using and is this actually occurring on both ICQ and Jabber?

edit: if you are on .89.1 and would like to try our latest beta for 1.0, check beta.adiumx.com - this version should have the fix you are looking for.

yeah i know that the method was implemented by the programmer. i just thought that it is already in the latest "stable" version. :)

i'll try the beta. thank you for your tip djbsquared

@metalsnake:
afaik only the oscar/icq protocol and the jabber protocol are able to handle offline sending
