adium file transfer crash

im running adium 0.89.1 on mac os 10.2.8 on a G4 powermac. every time i try to send a file (im using a hotmail account) adium either crashes or says 'aborted'. i have changed open ports in sharing prefs and even tried without firewall on. i am behing a bt home hub router but cannot seem to find settings for this router. can any1 help?

Are you sending files to people that are using the official Mac MSN Client?
