AIM file transfers in Adium 0.89.1

Hi--

I am a new Adium user, and am thrilled with it so far. However, I have been having trouble with the file transfer feature. I have been able to send files seamlessly between my two AIM accounts within Adium, both with and without encryption.

However, when a friend on my contact list tries to send me a file, it hangs at the 'Initializing file transfer' stage. She has Adium ( I am unsure of what version, I have 0.89.1) and says she has been able to send files just fine before. Is there any way to fix this?

The file transfer is buggy in Adium .89.1 due to limitations from libgaim....

Also, as the wiki page says, Adium 1.0 offers major improvements in the file transfer, so if you're not wary about using beta software, you can give the 1.0 beta a try...
