Adium keeps crashing...help!

Bought a macbook a week ago and just installed the latest version of adium ( i use it for msn messenger). It keeps crashing 10 minutes or so after I sign in. It's not the internet connection...what else could it be? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling...doesn't work. Any ideas on how to fix it?
