I am looking for a way to have Adium bounce the dock icon only when a contact sends me a IM. Right now it bounces the icon and pops open the message and brings it to the front. Is there any way to disable the message from popping up until I click on the dock icon. I can do with with Proteus by un-checking the "Show new messages automatically" box but there doesn't seem to be this option in Adium. Thanks.

No, there have been several threads asking for this feature and I don't believe it is planned for the future. You can use the search function to read up on the debate so far.

Opening and minimizing a chat window has basically the desired effect, though.
