SVN and Eclipse frost and smoke variants

Post by Bosk »

I just got the 10.2.8 SDK installed (finally!) and am running a build from revision 9866. For some reason Adium has started interpreting the frost and smoke variants in the Eclipse message view differently...and by differently i mean ugly. instead of the nice grey and white overlays that work on any background, the overlays are green and brown, like the default variant for Eclipse, and look hideous on most background images. I downloaded a fresh copy of Eclipse, so that's not the problem. Is this a known issue, or just a temp. bug in an area that's being heavily worked on?

I dare say it's just a temporary thing. I've noticed on my contact list in some of the more recent builds that there is a black line between the group and the contact part of the list.

As you say lots of changes are being made all the time. these small flaws will be fixed im sure!

There have been a lot of changes to both the way we display message styles, and to the way message styles are structured. It'll get better, but for now... that's how it is in SVN. :)

ok, that's fine. from the xtra developers' point of view, will existing message views need reworking to appear the same in 0.8, or will the current message view styles work as is after the code changes are finalized?
