No connection, no access to logs? [SOLVED]

I did a quick search but couldn't find anything specific that answered my question, so...

Yesterday I had problems with my internet connection, the modem was up, the router got an IP address even with reboots, but there just wasn't anything happening otherwise.

Now I had an appointment with a friend that we discussed on IM... I forgot the exact time I was supposed to meet him but I noticed that when Adium can't connect, you don't get access to logs either. "View Chat Transcripts" stays greyed out.

So I had to call my friend to doublecheck, when I could've just looked it up in the chat logs. Is this something that's worth changing?

I could of course use Spotlight (just occured to me) but it isn't as accurate as Adium's internal search thingy.

Window > Chat Transcripts Viewer (Shift+Cmd+L).
