new msn contact?

I imagine there is a simple answer to this: I can't create a new contact for msn. All I see in the drop down is aim, .mac, and icq.

What am I doing wrong?

This is probably a stupid question, but do you have an MSN account registeren in Adium? It wont let you put a contact in there if you dont have an account registered for that service

Are you signed on to an msn account? That could very well be the problem, if that's true, then the MSN should be greyed out in the dropdown menu.[/img]

I'm trying to get an account- they sure don't make it easy [compare aim]. Now waiting for the confirmation.

But I don't see it grey, don't see it at all. After I get the account, I'll see what's what.

Thanks to all!

Still won't work...

It took this long to get passport to send me the registration email. But now the account is active.

So. I went back to Adium, and went to Contact>Add Contact, but I still see only ICQ and AOL. Sheesh. I am doing some thing wrong:-)

Any more ideas you guys?

Michael

[I just realized that I used the same address for both iChat/AIM and messenger; I don't suppose this would be a problem?]

Is it a .Mac account? That might present a problem, but I don't know too much about MSN, so I am not too sure. Any MSN guru's out there?

I was talking to msa about the .Mac thing :P , but if you have the option "Hide Offline Contacts" in the "View" menu checked, Adium will hide the offline contacts, which could be why you can't see them in Adium.
