Buddy List Problems

Post by rock'n'rollstar »

I have a problem with AIM on Adium with my buddy list. In regular AIM for Mac OS X I have several groups of people, but in Adium everyone is just in one big group. I just recently moved everyone into groups and I used to have one big group in Adium but I was wondering if there was anyway I could fix this problem.

"The latest version" can actually mean a number of things, with a program like Adium. Look on the View menu...if there is any item called "Hide contact list groups," make sure it's unchecked. Otherwise, maybe it's an issue of Adium using a "cached" version of your buddy list rather than the most recent. You could quit Adium, trash (well, move to a different folder or something) ~/Library/Application Support/Adium 2.0/Users/Default/Contact List.plist, and reopen Adium and see if that helps.
