Default Font Colour

I've been having a problem with Adium which has only gotten worse with the recent update. I use it to chat in MSN, but everytime I open a chat window the font defaults to white. I use a white background so I can't see what I write.

Before the update, everytime I opened a new chat window/tab I'd have to copy coloured text from somewhere else into the window and i'd be fine afterwards. Since the update I have to copy coloured text every single time I type a new message. It's become to annoying to do.

Is there anyway I can get it to stop defaulting to white? I've tried changing the colour in preferences but it always goes back to white. I don't know what else to do.

So if you click "Save This Setting As My Default Font" in the Font panel, it doesn't work?

Quit Adium.

Go to Home > Library > Application Support > Adium 2.0 > Users > Default.

Inside there should be a file called Formatting.plist. Move it to the Desktop. This will reset your font choice.

Relaunch Adium. Are things fixed?
