Is there a way to turn off the typing notification icon in bottom left when chatting with G-chatters?

I prefer not having it show when I am typing. This was the case with older Adium versions, but has changed with Adium X. I cannot seem to find anything in preferences to turn off this added feature.

you can deactivate it in the account settings -> security.

Preferences -> Accounts -> (double-click on Gtalk account) -> Privacy -> [] Let others know when you are typing
