v1.0 - I see myself in buddy list

Starting with v1.0, I see my Googletalk persona in the buddies list. I'm logged in to AIM, YIM and Gtalk, but only the Gtalk user shows up in the buddy list, where I never saw myself in the list before. I haven't logged in from another computer, and if I try to message myself, I get a Jabber Message Error, Failed: (Code 503). Is this a bug, or a (strange) feature?
TIA

It's a gmail thing...
If you remove yourself from your
Gmail contact list (NOTE: that's Gmail address book, not Gtalk buddy list) you won't see yourself online anymore

That worked (well, after I removed myself from the buddy list in Adium too).
Thanks!

Hi,
I too tried the solution. It seemed to be working but a few minutes ago, I noticed "I was back". This happened when I went to check my gmail acount. I reappeared. So I repeated the step of removing myself from the contact list and double checked my GMAIL contact list to confirm that I had not somehow been added back to it. I had not.
I post this for two reasons. First as a heads up to others. Second to see if anyone else had this "re-occurence" happen or if it is one of those amazingly odd quirks that may never happen again.
I have tried to replicate the steps prior to my reappearance to reproduce the problem but so far have not been able to reproduce it. I will continue to keep an eye on it and update if it happens again.

I have myself in my msn list, I like it, because that way I know for sure (well almost) if I am online or not! And if buddy icons or away messages are like I want them to be. My friends using windows wonder how I manage it, because you cant do it in msn messenger itself (but I am also shown in the official msn messenger). It is just a privilege you have when owning a Mac
