Adium not getting focus correctly

About 7 times a day now, usually when switching from Safari (don't know if thats a cause, or if its because they are my 2 most used apps) I click on Adium to give it focus, the title bar changes to the focused version and I start typing but then I realise that both safari and adium have focus at the same time yet safari is still the active app.
Well I say 7 times or so, but its practically every time now, this never happened in 0.XX adium

That does not really sound like an Adium problem, but possibly indicative of a problem somewhere else on your system. Possibly not enough RAM or a hang somewhere else.

Doesn't sound like an Adium problem?
worked just fine till I upgraded and never seen this happen anywhere else during 4 years solid of using OS X on this machine.
It only happens with the 1.0 release of Adium

I have personally seen it with all kinds of apps and it seems to usually occur when I am running low on system memory, in my experience no, it does not sound like an adium issue.

Well I have never seen it, and I would hardly call running adium and safari straining my machine.
Never seen this when working with photoshop, illustrator, textmate, cssedit, safari, itunes, etc running all at once. So I wouldn't say it was a hardware issue.
As I stated in the last two messages, this has never happened with any application In 4 years of daily osx usage apart from Adium 1.0 where it is now constant no matter what my system load/memory usage/running applications.
